Distribution of microstructural damage in the brains of professional boxers: A diffusion MRI study

Abstract

Using VBA, we localized previously unreported abnormalities in the brains of professional boxers. These abnormalities are assumed to reflect cumulative (chronic) brain injury resulting from nonsevere head trauma.
