Abstract

Rosiglitazone increases plasma adiponectin levels in type 2 diabetic subjects. Whether this may contribute to the antihyperglycemic and putative antiatherogenic benefits of PPAR-gamma agonists in type 2 diabetic patients warrants further investigation.
