nm) were applied. The solution was treated under EF conditions and simultaneously irradiated with UVA lights to accelerate the mineralization rate of organics via photo-Fenton process. The opti- 2+ -1 -1 mum conditions ((Fe ) = 2000 mg L , H O (50 wt%) dosing rate = 6 mL min , pH = 2, and I = 20 A 22 in 420 min of the reaction time) of semi batch EF method and semi batch PEF method could reach a maximum TOC removal of 98 and 99%, respectively. The cyclically electro-generated Fe(II) could efficiently react with H O to prolong the production of hydroxyl radical, and therefore prevent the 22 H O from overflow in EF and PEF. The experimental results showed that the combination of elec- 22 tricity and UV irradiation was an excellent process for treatment of real wastewater. .
