Proposes a method to embed a function to create a type of collage into an application of interactive evolutionary computing for artistic computer graphics (CG) design named SBART (Simulated Breeding for ART). It is an application of the simulated breeding method, which is an extended popular version of K. Sims' (Computer Graphics, vol. 25, no. 4, pp. 319-28, 1991) system that enables the user to create an abstract drawing by selecting his/her favourite images displayed on a computer screen. The latest version (v. 2.4) includes a facility to create a type of collage from external image data and files. By combining it with other, previously implemented functions, such as a multi-field user interface, direct editing of genotypes, and so on, the variety of production is greatly extended.
