Abstract

Abstract Teacher educators are facing increased pressures to integrate technology in their programs and to graduate new teachers who are knowledgeable about and skilled in the use of technology. Although progress is being made, and some exemplary lighthouse programs exist, most research indicates that teacher educators have a long way to go in fulfilling the expectations others have for us. This article reviews briefly our current status in the use of technology, identifies where we're headed, and offers some general guidelines for getting there.
