Abstract

The ability of metals, such as cadmium, zinc and mercury, to bind in the liver or kidneys with metallothionein or related proteins is linked with induction of biosynthesis of these proteins /1, 2/. Increased level of these proteins under the influence of metals can thus be used as indicator of essential interaction between various metals and metallothionein or related proteins.
