Experimental proof of magnetic x-ray dichroism

Abstract

What we believe to be the first experimental results have been obtained on strong magnetic x-ray dichroism in the ${M}_{4,5}$ absorption spectra of magnetically ordered rare-earth materials, in accordance with recent predictions.
