Magnetic properties of UGaCo

Abstract

The temperature dependence of lattice parameters, magnetization, and magnetic susceptibility are measured on UGaCo. An high magnetocrystalline anisotropy in the magnetically ordered state below Tc = 51 K with an easy magnetization along the hexagonal axis is found. Die Temperaturabhängigkeit der Gitterparameter, Magnetisierung und magnetischen Suszeptibilität an UGaCo werden gemessen. Es wird eine große magnetokristalline Anisotropie im magnetisch geordneten Zustand unterhalb Tc = 51 K gefunden, mit einer Achse der leichten Magnetisierbarkeit in Richtung der hexagonalen Achse.
