Abstract

The arteriographic changes in 6 cases of hydatid cysts of the spleen and liver are described. In 5 a rim of increased density around the cyst was seen during the capillary phase. It is believed that this rim represents the ectocyst and is suggestive of the disease. Arteriography was helpful in localizing the cysts and in 2 cases helped the surgeon to plan his approach.
