SYNOPSIS We describe three patients with different forms of migraine in whom transcranial Doppler (TCD)showed prolonged diffuse vasospasm in the basal cerebral arteries when patients were asymptomatic. Vasospasm was more severe in one patient during her attack. These findings demonstrate the usefulness of TCD in evaluating vascular changes in patients with migraine.
