Product development and recycle system for closed substance cycle society

Abstract

So as to reduce the environmental burden and to accomplish sustainable development, human society has to change from a mass production and mass disposal type society to a cyclic society where used products are effectively reutilized to the maximum possible extent. There are various recycling methods available as cycling means. Here, the author introduces the "Comet Circle", a concept which integrates various recycling methods, product design methods based on this concept and actual recycling examples and he considers conditions for the construction of a cyclic society.
