Concealed Weapon Detection: A Data Fusion Perspective

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to address the problems of multisensor security system for concealedweapondetectionfromtheperspectiveofdatafusion.Thispaperoverviewstheconcealedweapondetectiontechniquesandthestate-of-the-artofbothsignalprocessinganddata fusion algorithms for concealed weapon detection and identifies how they are incorporated intotheconcealedweapondetectionapplication.Thediscussionclarifiesthefunctionalityand role of data fusion for concealed weapon detection. The expectation for technical advances is presented as well.
