A novel method using FFT tendency chart of single pulse waveform to reflect on the changes of Arterial Blood Pressure (ABP) was proposed. Its aim was for convenience and accuracy of non-invasive detection of blood pressure. Though there are some baseline fluctuations of pulse waveform during the motion of upper arm, a series of trial results showed a good correlation between the fixed frequency tendency of FFT for per ABP pulse and the intermittent measuring trend for the real value of ABP. This method showed potential in improving on the configuration of non-invasive ABP detection system and laid a foundation for quantitative analysis.
