Penetration of vertical jets into fluidized beds

Abstract

Abstract An expression has been derived for predicting the penetration depth of vertical jets into fluidized beds based on the experimental observations of several workers. The expression correlates a wide range of data with reasonable accuracy and is suggested as a useful working equation for design purposes.
