Abstract Bioprocess development and fermentation control would benefit from a timely knowledge of metabolic parameters, e.g., glucose, glutamine, and lactate concentration etc., enabling adequate intervention, maximizing product yield, and providing process analytical tools for reliable and traceable bioprocessing in the context of process analytical technology. A polymer laminate technology based microsytem comprising integrated pre‐calibrated electrochemical biosensors for the simultaneous monitoring of lactate, glucose, glutamine, and glutamate in a 0.15‐μL flow‐through cell for process monitoring and control is presented. Flexible manufacturing technologies used for these devices allow a cost effective customization of them.
