Abstract

Shifty business: The use of propargylic esters in Au-based catalysis results in the synthesis of an impressive variety of products as a function of the pendant groups' functionalities. Skeletal rearrangement by 1,2- and 1,3-migration results in gold–carbene and allene intermediates, respectively.
