Abstract

A multiwavelength (>200 channels, 0.8 – 1 nm spacing) picosecond pulse source has been constructed that offers low jitter (< 0.3 ps) and high optical frequency stability at 6.3 GHz by filtering a 200 nm broadened supercontinuum with a 16 × 16 arrayed-waveguide grating WDM demultiplexer.
