Abstract

A new strategy based on dynamic shadowing growth is developed to fabricate Swiss roll chiral metamaterials in nanoscale. The fabricated Swiss roll nanostructures exhibit broadband circular dichroism response in visible to near-IR wavelength region. Importantly, this strategy allows the dimension of Swiss rolls to be easily tuned, which subsequently changes their chiral optical properties.
