Formation and Spectroscopic Characterization of the PeroxoFeIII-CuII Complex. A Modeling Reaction of the Heme-Cu Site in Cytochrome c Oxidase

Abstract

Abstract Formation of a unique peroxo complex FeIITPP(O2)-CuITPA 2 was observed in the oxygenated reaction of FeIITPP-CuITPA 1 with O2 at ambient temperature. This complex was characterized by electronic absorption, ESI-MS, resonance Raman, and ESR spectroscopies.
