Two vacuum ultraviolet band systems of aluminum monofluoride, the B 1 Σ + –X 1 Σ + and C 1 Σ + –X 1 Σ + systems, are described. The rotational analyses of a few bands in each system are given and the rotational and vibrational constants of the X 1 Σ + and B 1 Σ + electronic states are determined. Accurate T e − values for the A 1 Π, B 1 Σ + , C 1 Σ + , and D 1 Δ states are given.
