Autoxidation Products of biologically important catecholamines, e.g. (1)–(3), can be stabilized by complexation and detected in this form by ESR spectroscopy. Triorganotin and diorganothallium cations are suitable as complexing agents for the radical anions. The stability of the complexes enables, inter alia, conformational investigations in solution.
