Teams, leaders, and organizations: New directions for crew-oriented flight training

Abstract

Consider three facts about cockpit crews. One, cockpit crews are teams. Two, the captain is the team leader. And three, cockpit crews are richly entwined with the organizational, technological, and regulatory contexts in which they operate. None of these three facts is controversial. If taken seriously, however,
