Medical Care Costs Associated With Progression of Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract

Progression of nephropathy was strongly associated with higher subsequent medical care costs in hypertensive patients with diabetes. Greater prevention efforts may reduce the substantial economic burden of diabetic nephropathy.
