Abstract C(α),O ‐Dilithiooximes were condensed with aldehydes and ketones to give β‐hydroxyoximes which were usually isolated and characterized. These materials could be acid‐cyclized to give the 2‐isoxazoline. When the dianion was condensed with p‐anisaldehyde, it was not necessary to isolate the intermediate; direct acid‐cyclization after condensation led to the 2‐isoxazoline.
