Abstract

A new prenylated flavone, named cyclochampedol (1), together with four known triterpenescycloeucalenol, glutinol, cycloartenone, and 24-methylenecycloartanoneas well as β-sitosterol were isolated from Artocarpus champeden. The structure of the new compound was determined on the basis of spectral evidence and by comparison with known related compounds. Compound 1 is active in the brine shrimp lethality assay.
