Electron-produced ultrasoft X-ray spectrum of Xe

Abstract

An ultrasoft X-ray spectrum of Xe in the photon energy region 52-94 eV was studied at various energies of bombardment electrons from 0.14 to 2 keV. Spectrum emitters, the processes of their formation and electronic transitions, at which ultrasoft X-ray radiation appears, were determined. The spectrum peculiarities which are caused by correlation effects were detected: in a number of cases the nature of the correlations was disclosed.
