Carbon spectra by the beam-foil method

Abstract

The spectra of the carbon ions have been studied using the beam-foil method. 102 previously classified lines in C II, C III and C IV were observed between 8000 Angstrom and 2200 Angstrom. An additional nine lines were positively identified as carbon ion emission, but do not coincide with previously identified lines.
