Abstract

An arrangement of lines is constructed by choosing <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> n n </inline-formula> diagonals of the regular <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> 2 n 2n </inline-formula> -gon. This arrangement is proved to form at least <inline-formula content-type="math/mathml"> n ( n − 3 ) / 3 n(n - 3)/3 </inline-formula> triangular cells.
