An in-vacuum type undulator and its beamline NE3 with a Si(111) double-crystal monochromator is under commissioning. Spectra of synchrotron radiation measured in the energy range of 5–25 keV from the undulator shows a very good agreement with theoretical calculation. Some experiments of resonant nuclear scattering using 57Fe have been carried out using the third harmonics of the spectra. It has been proved that the undulator x rays are quite suitable for experiments of very small scattering cross sections.
