Abstract

Abstract Colleges and universities are increasingly confronted with conflicts involving cultural diversity in a wide range of areas. This article focuses on how mediation can be used both formally and informally to handle such matters. It also considers mediation as a model on which to establish other creative forums in which members of the college community may express their concerns about cultural diversity. Examples are drawn from the authors' experiences in using mediation to handle college‐based conflicts involving differences over cultural diversity.
