Immunological, virological and clinical response to highly active antiretroviral therapy treatment regimens in a complete clinic population

Abstract

A good response occurred to an initial HAART regimen. There was a high rate of virological relapse, which varied considerably according to the definition of failure used. Even so, the rates of clinical progression and hospital admissions observed to date were low. Further follow-up of these patients is required to determine their long-term immunological, virological and clinical outcome.
