He(I) photoelectron spectra of some transition-metal sandwich complexes

The He(I) photoelectron spectra of (π-C6H3Me3)2M where M = Cr, Mo, and V; (π-C6H6)2Mo, and (π-C6H5Me)2 Mo; (π-C7H7)(π-C5H5)M where M = Ti, V, and Cr; and (π-C8H8)(π-C5H5)Ti are reported. Assignment of the spectra by use of a simple molecular orbital model is followed by a discussion of the electronic structure of these molecules.
