Diagnosis of an Intrathoracic Gastrogenic Cyst Using^99mTc-Pertechnetate

Abstract

Intrathoracic gastrogenic cysts are potentially life threatening and difficult to diagnose preoperatively. A case is presented in which 99mTc-pertechnetate was used to diagnose a gastrogenic cyst in a 2-week-old infant. Correlation of the pertechnetate study with the chest radiograph established the diagnosis.
