Reaction of [Zn(S2CNMe2)2] or [Zn(C7H4NS2)2](C7H5NS2= 2-mercaptobenzothiazole) with stearic acid in the presence of R4NOH (R = Et or Bun) afforded [Et4N][Zn(S2CNMe2)3](I), and [Bun4N][Zn(C7H4NS2)3]·H2O (II), respectively, and the structures of (I) and (II) have been determined crystallographically.
