ABSTRACT This paper presents a method to correlate core permeability with open-hole well log data. The model correlates porosity, deep resistivity, shallow resistivity and gamma ray index to permeability and eliminates the need to know values of irreducible water saturation or grain diameter as required in previously published correlations. We provide data from three Gas Research Institute research wells to illustrate the correlation.
