Petrophysics

Petrophysics is the scientific discipline focused on the quantitative study of the physical and chemical properties of rocks and their interactions with fluids. It utilizes measurements, commonly obtained from well logs and core samples, to characterize subsurface formations, determine reservoir quality, and estimate resource potential such as hydrocarbons, water, or geothermal energy.
