Abstract

The mouse ON head differs from that of other species, because it lacks a lamina cribrosa and a choroidal vascular supply. Studies in glaucomatous mice might help to identify the importance of the lamina cribrosa and the choroidal vascular supply for optic nerve damage in glaucoma.
