Abstract

A theoretical interpretation of temperature fluctuations and heat transfer in tokamaks is presented. Whereas the anomalous perpendicular electron thermal conductivity is found to depend on the fluctuation level, the ions behave neoclassically. The interpretation appears self-consistent in showing reasonable agreement with the experimental results of TFR, PLT and TOSCA.
