Long-term Follow-up of Galactosaemia

Abstract

A study of 60 galactosaemic children was carried out in order to assess their physical and mental development on a galactose-low diet. The physical health of the group was good but the mental development fell below that of the average population and there was a significant incidence of psychological disturbance.
