The chemical identity (i.e., Cl+O2 vs OCl+O) of the products of the photolysis of OClO depends on the vibrational mode excited in the parent molecule. The ratio of OCl:Cl production is enhanced when combination bands associated with antisymmetric stretching are excited in the OClO Ã electronic state.
