Abstract

Abstract The ‘hole’ theory of solubility which was applied to explain physical toxicity in Parts I, II and III has been used for the calculation of partition coefficients between organic solvents and water, and of solubilities in water. Some relationships previously observed between solubilities and toxicities have been explained.
