Luminance Improvement of Blue‐Green Emitting SrS : Ce EL Cell by Controlling Vacuum Conditions with Sulfur Addition

Sulfur addition during blue‐green emitting phosphor layer formation by the electron beam evaporation method was found to be very effective in EL luminance improvement. Structural changes in the phosphor layer were observed: sulfur content was increased, oxygen content was decreased, and crystallinity was improved.
