Abstract

Densities and viscosities have been measured for the binary mixtures of dimethyl sulfoxide + methanol, +ethanol, +propan-1-ol, +propan-2-ol, +butan-1-ol, +2-methylpropan-1-ol, and +2-methylpropan-2-ol at 298.15 K and 303.15 K. From these results, the excess molar volume (VE) and deviation in viscosity (Δη) have been computed. These properties are used to calculate regression coefficients of the Redlich−Kister equation.
