The criteria for MSF severity we have selected are based on our own experience and the experience of other authors. They are based on the reaction of human organism to the pathogenic agent and can be used during the different phases of emergence and development of rikettsial diseases, regardless of their geographic distribution. Unified use of these criteria would eliminate the differences in the data reported by different researchers regarding the disease development and severity.
