Values of the drift velocity of electrons in SF6, obtained from measurements of the back diffusion of photoelectrons from the cathode of a uniform field electrode system, are reported for values of E/N (E the electric field and N the gas number density) in the range 15*10-17 <or=E/N <or=150*10-17 V cm2.
