Abstract

Chlormadinone acetate 0.5 mg. daily was given continuously to two groups of fertile women. Group 1 comprised 945 non- lactating regularly menstruating women under 36 years of age, and group 2 comprised 100 lactating women, varying from 1 to 15 months post partum. Each received a thorough gynaecological examination, with a Papanicolaou smear, the latter on 19 August
