Spectroscopic Monitoring of High Pressure Effects on Trioxane

Abstract

Infrared spectroscopy and optical microscopy techniques have been used to prove a solid—solid phase transition in trioxane under high pressure. Spectral data indicate that a change in molecular conformation from C 3 v to D 3 h , may also be involved.
