CuCl, CuBr, and CuI have been compared in a fixed parameter system as lasants for copper-vapor lasers. The output powers for optimum temperature, buffer gas pressure, and delay time were found to be in the ratio P <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">CuBr</inf> :P <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">CuCl</inf> :P <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">CuI</inf> = 6 : 3 : 2.
