Abstract It is a fascinating problem whether the LST relation is obeyed in ferroelectric materials with overdamped ferroelectric soft TO modes. Resolution of this point has been desired for SbSI. One can determine whether the LST relation is obeyed in SbSI by comparing the magnitude of the static constant experimentally obtained with that calculated from the LST relation.
