Evaluation of the Patient Medication Adherence Questionnaire As a Tool for Self-Reported Adherence Assessment in HIV-Infected Patients on Antiretroviral Regimens

Abstract

Patients' psychological and behavioral factors are central in the acceptance and adherence to antiretroviral therapy. To improve the feasibility and the reproducibility of the PMAQ, we propose a revised form of the PMAQ, focusing on the variables identified as strong predictors of adherence.
